First you have to start up your Sims 3 and open your game so your in your town.
Second you go to edit town.
Third you choose your Sim from the selection at the bottom of the screen.
Or you have to click on the house hold your sim is living in and save copy. Than select it from the selection on the bottom of the screen.
Fourth click on the share bottom
Fifth go to : Computer\C:\User\(your user name)\My Documents\Electronic Arts\ The Sims 3\exports\
